How To Shrink Belly Fat: Tips on Losing Your Abdominal Fat Fast

Shrinking belly fat is a more difficult task than amassing it. Naturally we human being loves anything that will provide us massive pleasure and try as much as possible to avoid anything that will give us pain. Engaging in those things that encourages amassing belly fat (like eating fatty foods, drinking alcohol, inactivity etc.) therefore will give us massive pleasure. On the other hand engaging in those things that will encourage elimination of pot belly (like exercising, dieting, curbing hunger, avoiding alcohol etc.) will give however give us massive pain and we therefore tend to avoid them. However, it is those things that we try to avoid that makes us most healthy while the things we crave makes us unhealthy. This article is therefore all about the tips on eliminating your pot belly fast.
  • Avoid inactivity: If you really desire to burn off your abdominal fat fast, endeavor to be active always. Avoid sitting about without doing anything. Engage in cardiovascular and strength building exercises like aerobics, jogging, brisk walking, swimming, cycling, Prilate, Kapalbati Pranayama etc. These will help you burn off your excess abdominal fat faster than you can imagine. You should therefore endeavor to design an exercise plan unique to you. One that will agree with your system and will not harm you.
  • Design a nutrition plan that is unique to you and will agree with your system: It is recommended that you reduce your consumption of carbohydrate to 0.5 X your body weight in grams per day. Also reduce your consumption of fats to 0.2 X your body weight in grams per day. You should however increase your intake of protein to 1.5 X your body weight in grams per day. What this means is that you should reduce your intake of foods like white bread, rice, pasta, pastries, frozen foods, fried foods, hamburger, processed foods etc. You should increase your intake of foods like beans, eggs, salad with olive oil dressing, vegetables, fruits etc.
  • Curb your hunger: Endeavor to curb your hunger by eating foods that fill your stomach rather than those that will help amassing more fat into your belly. Eat a lot of fibers (e.g. wheat bread) and legumes.
  • Eat lots of seeds and nuts daily: Seeds and nuts are known to contain good fats which fight the bad fats in the abdomen and also keep cholesterol under check.
  • Do not eat your dinner to close to bedtime.
  • Eat your meal in small portions rather than in large portion: You can eat your meal in six small portions rather than three very large portions. This way the food will digest easily. With large portions of food the enzymes in the digestive system will find it difficult to break down all the fats in the food, thereby the fats will get absorbed into the body causing abdominal fat.
  • Drink lots of water daily: It is recommended that to fight pot belly at least one should endeavor to drink between 8 - 10 glasses of water daily. Water is known to detoxify the harmful toxins in the body.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol: Alcohol contribute to beer belly and should therefore be avoided. Instead, drink milk rich in calcium to fight belly fat. Research has shown that drinking milk rich in calcium have helped overweight people reduce in weight and abdominal fat.
  • Avoid stress: You should avoid putting yourself in unnecessary stress. Avoid worrying too much. Stress has been found through research to be contributory to weight gain and consequently pot belly.
  • Sleep well: It is recommended that an average human being should sleep for at least 6 - 8 hours daily. This way the foods consumed will digest properly rather than being stored in the body as fats.
